TRANSPORT TO AND FROM BANDON, COUNTY CORK

Bandon is located 20 miles west of Cork City and 16 miles from Cork Airport.  The town is served by a bus service, Bus Eireann and up-to-date timetables may be found on their website www.buseireann.ie.  The buses which run via Crossbarry stop outside Kilbrogan House and Coach House.  Other routes stop close to the bridge and the accommodation is just a five minute walk from there.  Cross over the river and bear left at the statue.  Take the next right turn and proceed up the hill.

Directions from Cork and Kinsale:  Take the N71 from Cork of if in Kinsale take the R605 North from Kinsale to Innishannon meeting up with the N71 in Innishannon. Once in Bandon turn right at the Methodist Church T junction and follow the signposts for Macroom/Crookstown.  Cross over the river and turn left at the statue into North Main Street.  You will pass a church on your right.  Take the next right turn up Kilbrogan Hill (which is signposted Macroom and Newceston). You will pass O'Hara's Pub and the Poitin House on your right and The Lodge/Brogan Inn on your left.  Continue on up the hill for about 100 metres.  You will find us on the right next to Chaplins and opposite Kays Florist.  About 10 metres beyond our house on the left you will see a DayBreak store so if you pass this, turn around as you will have gone too far. The driveway is at the side of the house and parking is at the rear.

Directions from Cork Airport to Bandon:  As you leave the airport, turn right at the roundabout in the direction of Kinsale (R600) Continue for about 3 miles.  Turn right at Five Mile Bridge on to the R613 in the direction of Ballinhassig.  Just after you pass Ballinhassig take the first right on to the N71 south in the direction of the South West, Bandon, Clonakilty.  Continue on this road until you reach Bandon passing through the town of Innishannon.   Once in Bandon turn right at the Methodist Church T junction and follow the signposts for Macroom/Crookstown.  Cross over the river and turn left at the statue into North Main Street.  You will pass a church on your right.  Take the next right turn up Kilbrogan Hill (which is signposted Macroom and Newceston). Directions from Killarney:  Leave the N22 just after Lissarda and join the R590 to Bandon.  After 8/10 miles take turn right on to the R589 signposted Bandon.  As you arrive into Bandon you will see the Bandon Coop on your right, continue down the hill passing a school on your right.  You will then come to a Daybreak store on your right.  We are 15 metres further down the hill on the left hand side.  Go slowly once you get to the Daybreak store as you will need to make a sharp turn into our driveway at the side of Kilbrogan House.

Directions from Bantry:  Take the R586 to Bandon.  As you approach the town centre, you will see a statue on your right in the middle of a grass area and a store called D&N.  Turn left at D&N which takes you past The Lodge/Brogan Inn pub.  Take another left at the pub and continue up Kilbrogan Hill.  Continue on up the hill for about 100 metres.  You will find us on the right next to Chaplins and opposite Kays Florist.  About 10 metres beyond our house on the left you will see a DayBreak store so if you pass this, turn around as you will have gone too far. The driveway is at the side of the house and parking is at the rear.

Directions from Clonakilty:  Take the N71 to Bandon.  As you reach the end of the Main Street bear sharp left.  Continue straight.  Cross over the river and turn left at the statue into North Main Street.  You will pass a church on your right.  Take the next right turn up Kilbrogan Hill (which is signposted Macroom and Newceston). You will pass O'Hara's Pub and the Poitin House on your right and The Lodge/Brogan Inn on your left.  Continue on up the hill for about 100 metres.  You will find us on the right next to Chaplins and opposite Kays Florist.  About 10 metres beyond our house on the left you will see a DayBreak store so if you pass this, turn around as you will have gone too far.
